Coming up this spring is the Legion SAL Booya. Starting on Saturday at 12:30pm for bowls. Then at 1pm bulk containers will be sold until it is gone. The options for purchase are $5 for a bowl, $10 for a quart, $20 for a half gallon, and $40 for a gallon. You can also stop into the bar for a Bloody or a drink while you are waiting.

AL Post 566 is hosting the VA training program S.A.V.E. for suicide prevention and identifications of the signs of a veteran in distress. We will have breakfast appetizers and coffee for the event to have while going through the presentation. Training will run 90 minutes, but we do have the back room until 1pm. The bar will be open if you prefer and adult beverage.

Prepare at least one large crock pot at least 6 quarts or more for entering the contest. Make your best batch of Red or White Chili and bring it in. Winner MUST BE present to win. $10 Entry fee includes one bowl of chili and 3 samples.

Judging starts at 2:00pm. The winner will be announced at 2:45pm. Your Chili entry must be at the legion by 1:30pm.

All proceeds benefit veterans, post building fund, and veterans’ organizations.

Your Hotdish entry must be at the legion by 11:00am. Judging starts at 11:15am. The Entry fee is $10 per submission and includes 1 bowl and 3 small samples.

$5 per bowl and $1 for small sample.

The winner will be announced after the judging is done. Stay for the NFL games playing or the meat raffle afterwards.

Come on out for the Annual Toys for Tots Auction event to raise money for the Marines Toys for Tots drive. Please bring in a new unwrapped toy and help us raise money and bring joy to those in need. We will start the auction of toys around 2pm besides our normal Saturday events. We will take donation up until the time we need to drop off the toys to the Marines. Come on in at 11am if you would like to help out with setup,

We are offering free Thanksgiving meals for those in need, first responders, or anyone who has no one else to celebrate the holiday with. You can dine in, carry out, or we can deliver to those unable to get out. Please pre-register by calling the Post at 651-783-0055 or email commanderpost566@gmail.com.

Come in for your Pre-Thanksgiving activities. Our annual party before thanksgiving. Burger night starts at 5, we have trivia starting at 6. Once trivia ends, we will have karaoke and music to keep you busy having fun until 1am. Bring all your friends.

We invite all who have served or are still serving to a free burger basket anyway you want it. One free burger basket per Veteran with plain fries. Upgrades will be an additional cost.
